There is hardly anything more discussed universally than education, that is the delicate process of exchanging knowledge and values from one generation to the next. I would like to emphasize on the message given by our beloved Holy Prophet P.B.U.H. "No two things have been combined together better than knowledge and patience." There is a dire need that we must educate our children with the best of our knowledge and equip them with perseverance and patience to tackle all the challenges in life and become socially responsible and great citizens of our society.

The Times School History
The Times School is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and to developing leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally.
One fine day, a young and enthusiastic “Professor Syed Hamid Ali Shah”, teaching in Govt. National College had a vision to start up a school that provides excellence in education for children from every community regardless of their status and faith. He was a visionary with a mind set of providing quality education in a very affordable and competitive fee, instead making money by treating education as a business. He believed that education is the right of every child. He opened up a school with the name of “St. John’s High School” at Metropolitan Hub North Nazimabad Karachi back in 1983 with his wife and few teachers on this noble path of serving our nation’s uncut gems.
The School got overwhelming response and appreciation as a result of the hardwork and leadership of Prof. Syed Hamid Ali along with the effort of his untiring and devtoed Staff and Teachers. Within no time, just after 4 years the foundation of the second branch was laid to spread the light of education to a larger scale.
The trust of our beloved parents grew more stronger as time passed. At this moment we decided to have a separate branch for our Kindergarten Section to provide them an exclusive learning environment where they can be nurtured and given attention individually.
It is said that what goes around comes around. Mr. Syed Hamid Ali devoted his life to educate people and serve humanity in the best way possible. How it can happen that ALLAH (S.W.T) would not have grew his hands stronger to continue this noble mission. At this moment when he felt that he desperately needed a strong shoulder to uplift his dreams and take his dream to the next level, his son Prof. Syed Umair Hamid Ali Shah joined his hands to empower his strength and inject a young blood into the streams of his institution with a new and improved education system that meets today’s needs. The year also marked as the completion of 25 years of excellence in education.
The branches started to spread under the leadership of Mr. Syed Umair Hamid Ali Shah with the utmost support and guidance of his father. He opened the third campus.
With the successful opening of our previous branches as the trust of our parents continued to grow more stronger as we were determined to provide the best education to our students we opened the fourth branch.
Another successful achievement was the opening of our first Cambridge and cumulatively our fifth campus. This branch was a new beam of light in our education system.
To eliminate the wrongly perceived image of community based education system St. John’s School became The Times School under the supervision of the same management keeping this vision to provide education for all times. Our school network grew stronger as years passes. The network continued to grow even further with the opening of our sixth branch.
Today, The Times is known for its quality education and it has a well-integrated network of 6 branches that provides education from Pre-School to Matric/O Level. It is acclaimed for imparting 21st century education with its modern curriculum, state-of-the-art and purpose-built campuses, qualified and trained staff and faculty, outstanding co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and for forming an alumni force that is evidence of its proficient legacy.
